Short/Zen Post: The beautiful work of Ron Mueck

18 February 2009 | Culture, Internet, Personal | Comments

We’re all stressed out and working too hard to go to a museum, so let the museum come to you. Here’s how.

First, if you’re a Firefox user, download and install the Cool Iris plugin that can turn your browser into a never-ending wall of images (Thank You, Mark Silva, for introducing me to this).

Then, do a Google Images search on “Ron Mueck,” a simply astonishing sculptor about whose work my friend Heather C. just posted a few relevant images in Facebook.

Once the first page has loaded, click the Cool Iris button on the upper right hand corner of your browser and you will have arrived at a dynamically-created, thoroughly enjoyable, virtual museum exhibit of Mueck’s work.

Browse. Inhale. Exhale. Repeat.

You may now proceed about your day, soothed and refreshed.
