Links for July 27th through August 10th
Things I’m tracking for July 27th through August 10th:
- Local Media in a Postmodern World, Part XCVII, The Order of the Web – The Web disrupts many things, but its biggest cultural influence is that it disrupts hierarchical order. It does so by turning order on its head, for individuals have the power, not institutions.
- Publicis to Buy Razorfish From Microsoft – "Publicis Groupe has reached a deal to buy Razorfish from Microsoft for approximately $530 million. Under terms of the agreement, Publicis will fund the purchase via a mix of cash and 6.5 million treasury shares. The sale will be 55 percent cash and the rest stock. The agreement also extends a cooperation pact Microsoft and Publicis signed this summer."
- Raising 3 Daughters: My Trials, Tribulations & Joys – "In this interview, WSJ Columnist and Published Author Jeffrey Zaslow talks about what it takes to raise three daughters."
- iMedia Content Director – The position I'm hiring in Portland.
- Co-Chief of NBC Entertainment Departing – NYTimes.com – Ben Silverman, the co-chairman of NBC Universal Entertainment, is leaving the company to start up a new venture in partnership with Barry Diller’s media and Internet company, IAC.
