Adam Shahbaz’s “Facebook Horror Story” in iMedia

29 July 2007 | Community, Culture, Internet, Marketing, Media | Comments

Don’t miss Adam’s very funny piece in Monday’s iMedia Connection about the scary predicament that I put him in when I friended him on Facebook.

Oops.

As I mentioned in a comment on the story (with a horrid typo, yikes), what happened in the last couple of weeks that has spiked business participation in Facebook up by orders of magnitude? Until, say, July 1, I had a few old college friends on Facebook and a couple of young friends who, like Adam, probably didn’t want to see me there but were too polite to say so. Now EVERYBODY is on Facebook and all frantically twittering away their every movements.

Wha’ happen?

I should, by the way, point out that I was a Facebook member BEFORE the network opened up to everybody. I got in via my Brown University alumni email account.
